[engine revving] Welcome to Very Vehicular Showcase. What is that? We're not even sure ourselves, 'cause, hey, we're still making it. But it's gonna be a little bit of a hybrid of a podcast with a documentary. I don't know. It's just another way for me to tell a story, and let's tell the story of why we have to tell it this way. So about a year and a half ago, I set out to do a project that we were calling The Brutal Mountain. It was following some of my favorite people, which are the guys at BBI, on yet another attempt at going to Pikes Peak. But, it kind of all fell apart. For years, I have wanted to tell the story of Pikes Peak. This is a place that first grabbed me in around 2008. Look, I saw it as a kid, but I went there in 2008, and I got to stand on top of that mountain. Actually, I got to ride up it in Mike Ryan's Freightliner race truck. He had 12,000 pounds. Uh, and it just, it just captivated me. It was something that, it became this thing. I wanted to go back and, one, drive it myself, um, but two, I, I wanted to tell the story. It felt so unique compared to all the other types of motor sports that I had been involved in. And from that point on, I kept looking for stories to tell there.
