  1. Lee Webb· Host0:00

In the Psalms, we learn to praise, lament, and to express our awe and wonder at God's greatness. But did you know that many of the Psalms are prophetic?

  2. W. Robert Godfrey· Guest0:10

The Psalter is at every point full of Jesus. Jesus is the God who loves us and protects us, and Jesus is the King who represents us and brings us to the Father. And so it's just a glorious blessing at every point.

  3. Lee Webb· Host0:26

[classical music] Hello, and welcome to Renewing Your Mind. I'm Lee Webb, grateful that you're with us today. The book of Psalms is a treasure. Its beautiful poetry gives us language to express our emotions to God. But many Psalms also point us to Christ. Today, W. Robert Godfrey, the chairman of Ligonier Ministries, shows us how Psalm 127 looks ahead to Jesus as the fulfillment of Israel. But before we hear from Dr. Godfrey, be sure to request the entire DVD series and the companion hardcover book, Learning to Love the Psalms, when you donate before midnight tomorrow at renewingyourmind.org. If you have your Bible handy, you may want to open it to Psalm 127 now as we join Dr. Godfrey for today's lesson.

  4. W. Robert Godfrey· Guest1:18

We come now to the fifth book of the Psalter, where all is revealed and all is resolved, um, or at least all is recapitulated.
