DUMB STUFF FRIDAYS: We need to talk about two awkies interviews on The Today Show from the past week. And then, seven cute little dogs were caught on video walking along a highway in China. Where did they come from? Where did they go? Etc. Etc. To conclude the ep, we’re finishing with a game: The Wikipedia Celebrity Linking Game thingymabob. This week, Zara recommended Alex Cooper on The Burnouts and Steve Carell on Good Hang. Mich recommended Jessi Draper on Call Her Daddy. Big thanks to Apple TV on its new series Margo’s Got Money Troubles for making this episode possible. First 90 seconds
  1. Michelle Andrews· Host0:00

Okay, did we see the Chappell Roan security guard, although not Chappell Roan's security guard, came out? Did you see this on Pop Crave?

  2. Zara McDonald· Host0:07

I have no idea what you're talking about.

  3. Michelle Andrews· Host0:09

    I haven't been Poocraved, have I?

  4. Zara McDonald· Host0:10

    I hope so.

  5. Michelle Andrews· Host0:11

    Okay.

  6. Zara McDonald· Host0:11

It's about time someone else was.

  7. Michelle Andrews· Host0:12

[laughs] [laughs] Okay. Uh, the security guard, this is from Pop Crave, who confronted the 11-year-old Chappell Roan fan, says he is not part of the singer's personal team. "I take full responsibility." The security guard has had to put up a, like, notes app apology on his Instagram.

  8. Zara McDonald· Host0:29

But no one knew it was him, so he could have just faded into oblivion.

  9. Michelle Andrews· Host0:33

[laughs] I know. He opened by saying, "I don't normally address online rumors."

  10. Zara McDonald· Host0:36

    That's what everyone says.

  11. Michelle Andrews· Host0:38

[laughs] Thought so. I read that and I'm like, "I don't know who you are. What do you mean you don't normally address online rumors?"

  12. Zara McDonald· Host0:44

[laughs] So what did he say?

  13. Michelle Andrews· Host0:45

Uh, he said he takes full responsibility for the interactions. He was at the hotel on behalf of another famous individual. He was not part of the personal security team of Chappell Roan. He said his actions were not on behalf of Chappell. He made a judgment call based on information obtained from the hotel and events he had witnessed days prior, and the overall heightened security risk of our location. Again, all sounds good, but then I remember this was an 11-year-old girl.

  14. Zara McDonald· Host1:12

[laughs] So this security guard has clearly been told by the hotel to protect the many and varied celebrity guests staying?

  15. Michelle Andrews· Host1:19

I'm re- I'm deeply confused about the whole thing, but he did finish and he said the outcome of the encounter is regretful.

  16. Zara McDonald· Host1:25

    Oh yeah, that's fair.

  17. Michelle Andrews· Host1:27

I'm finishing- Sounds like it ... the story far fuzzier than when
