[upbeat music] We are back for another week of Six Tackles With Gus, and it's great to have you with us. Thanks to Tab giving the punters plenty to shout about this NRL season. Download the Tab app. Tab we are on. Chances are you're about to lose. Round 17 coming up. We're on the downhill stretch towards the finals now. We've got the small matter of an Origin decider, of course, to get over before that. Some signing news coming up on the show, some breaking news this morning, and I'll ask Gus if the Panthers have a genuine challenger for the favoritism for the premiership. Welcome, my friend.

Matthew Thompson, how are you doing?
Mathew Thompson· Host0:32
I'm well. I'm great. It's a little cool this week, which means it's perfect time for a beanie.
Phil Gould· Host0:38
A beanie. Mm, beanies.
Mathew Thompson· Host0:39
It's the 10th year of the Beanies for Brain Cancer Round, the brainchild of Mark and Kirrily Hughes, who started the, uh, Mark Hughes Foundation going back over a decade ago. Um, but it's 10 years of this round. So they have generated nearly $30 million- Mm ... in beanie sales. They've sold over 1.3 million beanies alone. It's a massive effort. Massive.
Phil Gould· Host1:04
Yeah. Yeah, incredible. Uh, we had Mark Hughes on 100% Footy the other night, and he was talking about the giant strides that they've made, uh, where they've invested the money, and how many of the researchers now they've got looking into this, uh, these issues and, and that's important. It's raised great awareness, uh, given people hope for the future, and it's been an outstanding promotion. Uh, absolutely wonderful. Obviously, very close to us here at Channel Nine. Um, but we support it wholeheartedly,
