President Trump's new tariffs on dozens of US trading partners now in effect, the US imposing new taxes of ten to twelve and a half percent on imports from about sixty countries using a nineteen seventy-four trade law to charge that they have inadequately enforced bans on goods produced by forced labor. They've come into effect as temporary ten percent global tariffs expire. Trump imposed the, the tariffs as a stopgap after the Supreme Court struck down the tariffs he imposed last year. Trump talked data centers on Thursday, speaking to executives and governors gathered at the Environmental Protection Agency.

    Concerns about data centers cross party lines, but Trump urged those gathered at the EPA to sell the public on them, and he encouraged his audience to take a pledge he unveiled in March that he said would shield consumers from higher utility bills. The administration has prioritized nutrition through its Make America Healthy Again initiative, but NPR's Joe Hernandez reports a landmark federal nutrition program will end in a matter of weeks.
