Iran attacked air defenses and other targets on US military installations in Jordan early Thursday. Commercial satellite images showed what appeared to be an aircraft hangar burning at a base in southern Jordan. The Jordanian military said the country's air force shot down four missiles and six Iranian drones targeting the kingdom. In Kuwait, Iran said it attacked US military equipment, including a Patriot missile defense system. Iran, in announcing the attacks, has appealed to the people of Jordan and Kuwait to support the strikes on US military targets in their countries, saying US forces were violating their sovereignty.
