Live from NPR News, I'm Giles Snyder. Control of the US House in 2027 could be decided in Arizona, where two toss-up districts could tilt the balance of power back in favor of Democrats. From member station KJZZ in Phoenix, Ben Giles reports that voters in Tuesday's primary advanced President Trump's preferred nominees.

Former NFL placekicker Jay Feely won the Republican nomination in Congressional District 1, according to a race call by the Associated Press. The Trump endorsee will face either Amish Shah or Marlene Galán Woods in November. The Democratic primary has not been called, but Shah had an early lead. But either opponent will likely prove a challenge to Feely in a north Phoenix suburb considered one of the most competitive races in the country, especially so given it's a race for an open seat. In southern Arizona's District 6, another toss-up race, incumbent Republican Juan Ciscomani will face Democrat and veteran Joanna Mendoza. Both candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries.
