Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. The United States has launched another round of airstrikes against Iran after an attack in Jordan killed two American service members. NPR's Emily Feng reports Iran's new supreme leader has issued a statement following the latest attacks.

We have Iran's elusive new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, issuing a statement. The younger Khamenei has not been seen since his father was killed in his, U- in U.S. and Israeli strikes. So you're about to hear a newscaster reading aloud a statement today that's attributed to him. [foreign language] Later in the statement, Khamenei blames the restart of war on the U.S., and then in the statement also says that Iran, quote, "Has unforgettable lessons in store for the U.S."

That's NPR's Emily Feng reporting. A produce supplier is recalling all of its iceberg lettuce from the U.S. market, including at some Walmart stores. NPR's Kristen Wright reports the greens may be contaminated with cyclospora, a parasite that can cause severe diarrhea.

Taylor Farms is pulling its shredded iceberg lettuce sourced from Mexico from twenty-seven states. The company said in a statement the lettuce, quote, "Has the potential to be contaminated with cyclospora," and that customers who bought it should throw it away immediately.
