Live from NPR News, I'm Giles Snyder. The Trump administration is telling Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to suspend most vehicle stops nationwide. The order comes after two fatal shootings within a week. NPR's Ariel Martinez Beltran.

The news was confirmed to us by the office of Maine US Senator Angus King. Uh, you know, the two men killed in Houston and Maine had been driving their vehicles when ICE officers attempted to pull them over. In both cases, the two victims were not the intended enforcement target of ICE. Now, DHS told NPR it will not discuss enforcement's tactics, so we don't yet know all the details of this change, but Senator King's office says this is happening, and this could mark a significant shift in policy.

President Trump's border czar, Tom Homan, told Fox News Tuesday that the pause is not a policy shift, but a temporary pause to conduct a short-term review. US military says it has completed the latest wave of strikes on Iran, saying that dozens of military targets were hit near the Strait of Hormuz and along the Iranian coast. Trump Rx is a key component of the president's push to lower prescription drug prices. Seventeen drug makers agreed to offer their drugs on the website at a discount.
