    Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. [crowd chanting] Protests continue to clash with federal immigration agents at an ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey. Bruce Konvizer reports the mayor has announced a limited curfew for the half-mile radius around the facility.

    Mayor Ras Baraka said the curfew was going into effect immediately and that it would continue indefinitely from nine PM to six AM. Demonstrators have maintained a presence outside Delaney Hall for more than a week while detainees inside the facility wage a hunger and labor strike. On Friday, Governor Mikey Sherrill announced that state police would replace ICE agents outside Delaney Hall, but violent clashes continued Saturday. Still, the governor defended her decision, noting that ICE agents have previously used deadly force.
