Eamon, you were in court today for the sentencing of Mark Salmon, described as a Gucci gang leader, who was initially charged with directing an organized crime group, but has pleaded guilty at the Special scr- Criminal Court to somewhat lesser charges, nonetheless serious charges, threats to kill, drug trafficking, and money laundering. So what happened? What did he, what sentence did he receive?

Well, that was the, the key takeaway, I guess, um, was 10 years. So I mean, that, that was, th- it was taking kind of, um, three sets of offenses into consideration. Um, and it was, it was actually a consecutive sentence. So the headline sentence was initially 16 years.

And then there was the 25% for the pleading guilty, which explains why guys in the Special Criminal Court plead guilty. Um, and then taking into account his personal mitigation, which includes, you know, the report from the governor, the, the testimonials from family and all the rest, and the, the, he- his own, his apology that he made, um, was further reduced then to a total sentence of 10 years-
