Northampton Saints beat Exeter Chiefs in compelling final

Northampton Saints are the champions of England!

They beat Exeter Chiefs 26-17 in the final to be crowned champions for the second time in three years.

Alfie Reynolds, Alex Lowe and Charlie Morgan look back on the match and ask what does it mean for Northampton? Does this cement them as the latest dynasty in English rugby?

    I'm good, thank you. My question for both of you after that is, what did you make of that game? [laughs] So I was up here, I was hosting Talksport's coverage. We had Andrew McEn- McKenna and Topsy Ojo on comms. And for most of that game, I was there thinking, "This is epic. This is tight, it's physical." Exeter have absolutely turned up. Northampton are quite a way off the standards we know that they can reach, but it made it a, a compelling game, a game that was really in the balance. I thought it was epic. And then the, the longer time has, has passed since the full-time whistle- You're doubting yourself. Uh, I am. After listening to the press conferences, after chatting to you guys and other people in, in the kind of media areas- Don't listen to press conferences.

    [laughs] Did I exting- I feel like I extinguished your bonfire a bit, because you came down from the lift and asked me first- [laughs] I came bounding down ... and I went, "I thought it was a bit scruffy, but, you know, quite gripping." [laughs] And Alfie's face just drops. Went, "Oh,"- I think a l- "... I thought it was pretty good, actually."
