    Having written multiple books on the topic- Gina Rippon, PhD, shares the ultimate guide to live as a woman with neurodiversity The autistic brain doesn't seem to be very good at generating rules, so that if you put a person in a situation where the same thing happens over and over again, you can see brain activity changing. Something's coming in the visual system, and there's a message passed to the frontal areas of the brain saying, "Don't need to pay attention to that." Every time they see this sight or hear this sound, it's as though they've never experienced it before.
