I, 23 male, and my wife, 24 female, got married about a year ago, and just officially bought our first house about six months ago. During the move-in process, we decided to thrift some furniture since we were already spending a good bit on the house. I told my wife we didn't need to get a couch because we could use my parents' old one that we always had when I was growing up. It was still in good condition, and she agreed. When we finally got fully moved in, I told her how excited I was to have the couch because it was always my favorite place to sleep growing up.
