Music, Marketing & Memories with Jez Booker 🥁 [993]
6/15/20262 hr 3 min
In this episode I am reconnecting with an old friend after over 25 years of not seeing each other. Jez Booker is from Solihull in the West Midlands and I first met him at 6th form college, where we became friends and later we got into a band together and had many adventures. Jez later went on to work in marketing and has recently started up his own YouTube channel all about getting out and enjoying the British countryside. Expect a chat full of natural English expressions and slang, and a journey into the past as Jez and I reminisce and also jog each other's memories of things that we did together years ago.

I hope you're doing fine, and that you're looking forward to listening to this brand-new episode of my podcast for learners of English all around the world. Uh, let me give you a brief introduction to this one, just to give you some context, and also to tell you some things that you can notice as you listen to the conversation. So as you know, on this podcast, I like to help you to get more English listening practice into your life. Sometimes that means listening to me talking on my own. Sometimes that means, uh, that I'm joined by guests in my episodes. Uh, with the guest conversations, my aim is to let you listen to English as it's naturally spoken. I want you to hear real conversations in English so that you can get used to hearing English at a natural speed. You can get used to hearing English in slightly different accents, and you can get used to hearing the spoken version of English, which of course is quite different
