Millennial dads, UK's under-16s social media ban & are Gen Z employees actually lazy?!

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, happy FRIDAY!!! Our third episode of the week is HERE… how are we doing?! (We are loving the Mon/Wed/Fri rhythm so far & we hope you guys are too 🥹)

We get DEEP this episode on the millennial dad mindset. Modern dads are now contributing 30 hours a week of childcare and housework (vs. 10 hours in 1965!!), which is a real shift, but Harrison would also like to be clear: moms are THE SUPERHEROES, carrying the bulk of the mental, physical, and hormonal load!!!

It's been a big week in the Fugman household! First, the SUBSTACK launched yesterday (and yes on this episode we explain what actually Substack hahaha sry), and Flock Turkey Bacon Strips are OFFICIALLY in Target (YUM). 

Then we're a little all over the place (as usual lol). We START with a THINGS WE DMED EACHOTHER on South Korea's FAKE shopping sites for the dopamine hit without buying anything (genius?!). Then we ask: why is every World Cup player wearing PINK cleats?! (the wildest accidental marketing moment we've seen.) And Jules apologizes for the whole Smorgasbord vs. Smorgasburg situation lol.

A convo about the bug Alex found in her Sweet Green leads to another iteration of Harrison's "Stock School" (were wraps the answer to the "slop bowl recession”?!). And we keep the randomness going: a HOT TAKE on whether you should be missing 10% of your flights (per Coogan on TBPN), an UPDATE on the viral girl dad bathroom situation (the guy who called the police got FIRED?!), and finally - are Gen Z employees ACTUALLY lazy?!

We end with another convo on social media: the UK is officially banning social media for under-16s (HUGE win in our opinion!!), plus two new movie/book recs around this subject we cannot stop thinking about: The Social Reckoning (a new version of The Social Network!!!) + Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism.
