[upbeat music] You're listening to the Sky Sports Premier League podcast. Wednesday evening saw two games live on Sky Sports. Bournemouth played Leeds at the Vitality Stadium, and Burnley hosted Manchester City at Turf Moor. Here's how things sounded at the end of the night.

  2. Peter Drury0:23

[whistle blows] [crowd cheering] Manchester City topple Arsenal, but it is by the slenderest of margins. With four and a half weeks of this Premier League season still to go, it's only on the goals scored column that they are ahead. In winning this, they have relegated Burnley. They got 100 points in the championship last season. They will be back in it next season, and yet tonight they held out heroically, defensively conceding just the one goal to Erling Haaland. That single goal is enough to take Manchester City to the top. But, uh, nine days ago, they were nine points behind Arsenal. Now they're level on points with them, and on goals scored, they are top. For Burnley, there is now no hope that they can save themselves. They will be back in the championship next season. Whether Scott Parker will be with them remains to be seen.
