Maddow: Donald Trump lost the war he started with Iran; Trump humiliated on world stage
6/16/202643 min
Rachel Maddow lists the goals Donald Trump set for the war he started with Iran, from regime change to obliterating Iran's nuclear capacity, none of which have been met as Trump announces an agreement that reportedly will at least re-open the Strait of Hormuz, though apparently with some fees attached. MS NOW's Ayman Mohyeldin joins to discuss.
Rachel Maddow tells the story of the Gordie Howe International Bridge, which would be the biggest U.S. border crossing in Candana and one of the most important routes for trade in the entire world, except that Donald Trump refuses to open it. And it so happens that the family that owns a competing bridge gave a large amount of money to Trump's super PAC.
And Marc Elias, founder of Democracy Docket, joins to discuss what American voters can do to protect the upcoming election from Donald Trump's interference.

Thanks you at home, uh, for joining us this hour. Really, really happy to have you here tonight. Do you wanna see a beautiful thing? Look at this. When I was a little kid every time we'd drive over the Bay Bridge from the East Bay to San Francisco, I would drive myself nuts trying to figure out how on earth they could ever build a big, long bridge like that. I think that I... I think I have a memory of convincing myself as a little kid that they must have built the Bay Bridge, the suspension part of it, they must, they must have built it straight up in the air as if it was a big flat tower, and then when it was tall enough, they flopped it down onto the other side [laughs] of the bay. That's how I believed these things must, must be built, which is not at all how you, how you build a bridge. Um, this in fact is how you build a bridge. This is a time lapse video, uh, that shows how this one in particular
