Leaving The Marines, Jailed For 10 Years & Living With Tommy Robinson
7/16/20261 hr 1 min
Royal Marines. Gangs. Drug importation. Prison. Tommy Robinson. Journalism. Isaac's life has taken turns few people could imagine.
Growing up in Luton, he joined the Royal Marines at just 17 looking for purpose and brotherhood. After leaving the military without a plan, he drifted into organised crime before receiving a 10-year prison sentence.
Isaac explains exactly how it happened, what prison was really like, why he believes many ex-servicemen struggle after leaving the military, his experiences living with Tommy Robinson, and why he's now pursuing a career in journalism.

So how'd you go from being a Marine to then getting into the drug game and ending up in jail?
Isaac· Guest0:04
There's two types of people who join the military, people who have discipline and people who need it. I'm the latter, and they're trying to make you quit.
Liam Tuffs· Host0:10
Intellect, athlete, patriot, gangbanger.
Isaac· Guest0:13
They would sometimes take the piss out of me because I wouldn't carry a knife. I was done for 50 kilos, right? One of the parents opens it with the kids and a brick of Charlie falls out. The government, the police, they're so worried about civil unrest that they do things that they probably shouldn't to silence people.
Liam Tuffs· Host0:26
How did you end up living with Tommy Robinson?
Isaac· Guest0:28
If your job is to not let Tommy Robinson be a bigger figure, pushing against him is the wrong thing to do. The interesting thing is I'm quite worried about saying that I know Tommy Robinson, but no one bats an eyelid if I say that I'm friends with murderers that I met in prison.
Liam Tuffs· Host0:41
What did it feel like when you got sentenced to 10 years? Isaac, thanks for coming on. So I met you at the Oxford Union recently, and the things I learned about you that short period of time we spent together was that you grew up in Croydon, moved to Luton when you were nine, joined the Marines at 17, spent five years in the Marines, come out, then started wrapping yourself around with gangs that were dealing and importing drugs, went down that route, went to jail. You've lived with Tommy Robinson for a month, and now you're gonna become a journalist. So you've, there's a complete arc in your story and some ups and downs, and I just thought this is gonna make an interesting story.
Isaac· Guest1:23
Sure.
Liam Tuffs· Host1:24
So your parents, your dad, was he a military man?
Isaac· Guest1:28
He was in the Danish army, yeah. So
