Today, Donald Trump says, "I'm winning a war by a lot." His FBI director says, "I don't have a drinking problem." And another Trump cabinet secretary who denies having a drinking problem on the job was fired today, or quit. What's the difference? Donald Trump's guiding principle in assembling his cabinet and staffing the government was loyalty to Donald Trump, followed by maximum outrage. Donald Trump obviously set out to pick people who had no significant professional standing in their fields or weren't even in the fields that they would be given jurisdiction over in the federal government.
