6/16/20261 hr 11 min

This week, we’re so excited to welcome Lauren Cowell for her first ever podcast interview!

After years of keeping a low profile while navigating public scrutiny, Lauren opens up to Gi about life after divorce, co-parenting, and how she handled the intense media attention surrounding her pregnancy with partner Simon Cowell.

Lauren also shares more about her involvement in the ‘Raise the Age’ campaign — and since recording this episode, Keir Starmer has announced plans for under-16s to be banned from social media by spring 2027 👏👏👏

[upbeat music] Gosh, I just wish I had a little midweek drop of Happy Mum. Guys, we have Life of a Midwife, this gorgeous miniseries that lands on a Thursday. Subscribe, actually. Subscribe to the podcast, and then it will be there waiting for you. You'll probably have a little notification pop up and tell you that it's there. Life of a Midwife is just so beautiful. I cannot listen to a single episode without just being so moved by it. It's beautifully crafted. Uh, I basically give you a little intro, and I just make sure that you know what's going on, but the accounts from the midwives are absolutely perfect. I do think it's absolutely gorgeous and that you'll love listening to it, so go find that wherever you get your podcasts. [upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to a brand-new episode of Happy Mum. Um, today's guest is the incredible Lauren Cowie. Um, she's literally just left, and I've gotta say, there's not much out there that is from her, and you will understand why during this chat. I guess we saw little snippets of Lauren in the documentary. Then it was actually Simon's documentary called The Next Act that was out, um, on December 10th last year. I know that because that's the boy band's name, December 10th. [upbeat music] She's a mum of two boys, Adam, um, who's 20, Eric who's 12. Uh, she turns 50 next year, and she just feels like she's stepping into a, a new era of her life
