Go to the Hugh Poate interview: 01:07:05

Go to the Sall Grover interview: 01:35:26

Karl’s take on the week – including the fallout from Labor’s latest budget, the growing backlash from small business owners over new taxes and why many Australians believe the government sees hardworking people as an endless cash machine.

Then, the rural revolt growing across Australia.

Karl travels to regional New South Wales where farmers say transmission towers, renewable energy projects and net zero infrastructure are ripping through their family farms and tearing apart rural communities – with many claiming they were never properly consulted and have no power to stop it.

Isa shares the confronting moment people entered her property without warning, while horse trainer Rob Archibald, psychologist Anna Young and energy expert Aidan Morrison speak out on what they say is the true cost of Australia’s renewable energy push.

Then, one of the most emotional interviews yet on Karl Weekly.

Hugh Poate – father of fallen Australian soldier Private Robert Poate – joins Karl to talk all things Afghanistan, Ben Roberts-Smith and the military justice system. Hugh questions why millions were spent prosecuting Australian soldiers while the man responsible for killing his son remains free.

And Sall Grover joins Karl following the Federal Court ruling in the Giggle vs Tickle case that has ignited fierce debate around women-only spaces, gender identity laws and free speech in Australia.

[upbeat music] Reese's knows a thing or two about great combinations. Chocolate and peanut butter, obviously, but there's more than one way to Reese's. From indulgent Reese's Big Cups with caramel to crunchy Reese's Pieces and Reese's Miniatures, there's a delicious Reese's for every mood. It's the same combo you love, just with more ways to enjoy it. So whether you're snacking, sharing, or just treating yourself, nothing else is Reese's.

[upbeat music] Hello, everyone. Welcome to the show. Hope you're having a good week. Lots on today, and coming up on the show, farmers are fighting back. You might have seen this in Victoria. Energy company people entering properties without warning to build renewables, transmission lines, and wind turbines, all part of the energy plan apparently, but these landowners have no choice. Now it's spreading. New South Wales farmers fighting the same battle. I caught up with Iza, who was confronted on her property.

  3. Iza· Guest1:04

It's black and white. It's trespass. It's criminal activity. I mean, they're behaving like criminals, and they wonder why landholders are so fed up with their behavior.

  4. Karl Stefanovic· Host1:16

And it's bigger than just one, the cost of renewables. Hardworking Aussie families. I caught up with a few of them in beautiful Scone over the weekend. This is their story, and it's appalling.
