This week we have the excellent Kae Tempest joining us for lunch! Kae came by to talk about his beautiful new novel Having Spent Life Seeking. Over lunch, we covered everything from growing up in Lewisham in a big blended family, to music, poetry and the writing process. We also chatted about cooking scallop spaghetti for his girlfriend and giving up sugar, cigarettes and alcohol for Lent. Kae, we loved having you over; a fantastic guest and an enriching, gorgeous afternoon. Kae’s book is available to pre-order now, out April 30th.

EQ Bank is here to help you make bank. Let that sink in. It's a bank built to make you money, not just take your money. Sound unrealistic? Don't just take it from me. Take it from the over 600,000 other Canadians earning high interest and paying no fees on everyday banking. Like, not right now. I can't just wrangle over half a million people like that. That'd be unrealistic. But a bank helping you make bank? Yeah, that's EQ Bank.

Lennie Ware· Host1:10
But we never discussed what I was making, so I didn't feel it w- I manifested the dessert.
Jessie Ware· Host1:15
What happened was that we shouted at, at, at each other. I may be- You shouted more than me ... slightly overwrought at the moment. Um, I'm quite tired, and, um- I felt it. Well, I felt it too, Lenny.
Lennie Ware· Host1:28
Okay. Good.
Jessie Ware· Host1:29
Anyway, it's not the best
