On Christmas night, 1996, six-year-old girl JonBenét Ramsey was put to bed in her family's mansion in Boulder, Colorado. By the next morning, she was dead, her body hidden in the basement, and a two-and-a-half page ransom note left on an internal staircase. The note was written on a pad from inside the house with a pen from inside the house, demanding the exact amount of money JonBenét's father, John, had just received as a Christmas bonus. The case went from local tragedy to international obsession when the media got hold of JonBenét's beauty pageant photos and video footage, which showed pretty much a six-year-old in full hair and makeup, dressed up as and often posing like a full-grown woman. But despite decades of public and media obsession, including my own, and yours- And mine ... and yours, endless theories, police and FBI investigations, and even some bizarre confessions, the murder of JonBenét Ramsey remains an unsolved open case. And this year marks the 30th anniversary of the death of JonBenét Ramsey- Wow ... which means she would have turned 36 this year if she was still alive. This is Just the Gist of JonBenét Ramsey.
