[gentle music] Murder accused Jonathan Gill has been refused bail in the High Court, and now awaits a decision around his extradition to Northern Ireland, where he's wanted for the murder of Robbie Lawler. Today I'm talking to Niall Donald about Gill and his extradition challenge to the Encrochat evidence that the PSNI say they have against him. You're listening to Crimeworld, a podcast from crimeworld.com. Niall, we've been discussing for a while, to come back to the story of Jonathan Gill, who was refused bail some weeks ago at the High Court. He was hoping to get himself out of custody while he waits for the bigger decision, which is really his fight against his ex- the extradition to the North of Ireland. Now, the PSNI want him in relation to the murder of Robbie Lawler. They have told the, uh, court in their extradition warrant that they believe that he was on the Encrochat network using the handles SteadyBuster and fly.com, and that he basically directed, um, the murder of, of Robbie Lawler, with others who were involved, um, including Barry Young, who's also named in that extradition warrant. Uh, Young was said by the PSNI to, uh, be in for a financial gain due to the murder of Lawler. Okay? So that's where we're at. Now, the, we don't have an indication exactly when the courts are going to come back with a decision
