Coming up in this episode, we discuss the fallout of the event one reviewer called, "The single most damaging attack on the royal family since Cromwell." [marching band music] You've got the dead-eyed look of someone who's just watched, uh, It's a- The thousand-yard stare [laughs] ... the thousand-yard stare. You've either, since the last episode, watched It's a Royal Knockout or been to Vietnam in 1967.

    [laughs] I watched It's a Knockout, and then I had to watch all four episodes of Adolescence back to back- [laughs] ... just to calm myself down. [laughs] Just to bring my mood back up.

    [laughs] Um, what I think is interesting about it is it's the eternal battle that the royal family have been under maybe in the last, since television, as to how much of themselves to give.

    Yes.

    And so there's that. There's the whole William and Harry, and there's the Princess Diana and Charles interviews, and this all started really with this... So 1969, there was a documentary which we've kind of briefly discussed that Prince Edward was five in.

    It was shown on BBC and ITV. It's the cla- you know, when there's... a bit like a big England game at the World Cup.
