Is 2026 The Year Hollywood Finally Figures Out Video Game Movies? - Beyond 943

Well, maybe! So far, we’ve had Return to Silent Hill, Iron Lung and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which were varying degrees of successful depending who you ask, but still to come we’ve got the Johnny Cage-forward Mortal Kombat II, Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil, the totally bonkers Street Fighter movie. And, hey, if this isn’t this year, it’s not like video game movie adaptations are slowing down: 2027 has The Legend of Zelda, Helldivers and Sonic The Hedgehog and A Minecraft Movie sequels. 2028, meanwhile, will finally see Call of Duty make its way to the big screen, but more interesting to us is A24’s Elden Ring film. Alex Garland has given us some of our favorite genre media of recent years, between Ex Machinia, Annihilation, Men, Devs, Civil War, and of course, 28 Days Later and 28 Years Later. How will he handle a cinematic tour of The Lands Between? Hard to say, but Nick Offerman, Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Ben Whishaw and Jonathan Pryce will be there, so we’re certainly intrigued. Following fashion trends can be a lot of work, but dressing well doesn't have to be. If you're looking to upgrade your wardrobe without overcomplicating things, Quince is the best place to start. Quince offers a great selection of clothes that feel good to wear, work with any look, and are made from high-quality materials that are built to last. If you're gearing up for summer, take a look at Quince's 100% European linen shorts and shirts from 34 bucks. Lightweight, breathable, and comfortable, but still versatile enough that you can look put together if you go to a function where people are drinking from fancy glassware instead of the red plastic kind that you try to throw ping pong balls into. You know what I'm talking about. Quince works directly with ethical factories and cuts out the middleman, so you're getting premium materials without the markup, and you'll pay 50 to 80% less than you would for the same kinda clothes from big name brands. Aside from the occasional loud party shirt or obnoxiously try hard jacket, I generally stick to the basics when I'm getting dressed because it's just one less thing to think about, and Quince is absolutely clutch for that. You ever had a really good, solid, heavyweight T-shirt? Quince has some excellent ones. They're great, comfortable, extremely flattering, and made from 100% organic cotton. And before you say a T-shirt is just a T-shirt, there are plenty of other options here. You get crew neck, V-neck, Henley, long sleeve, short sleeve, heavyweight, like I mentioned, or ultra soft luxe touch 100% Pima cotton. Oh, and by the way, they come in all sorts of different colors. Pick your favorite. Maybe you're set on T-shirts and want something a little more formal. Well, they got a wide range of button downs, oxfords, polos, and more to pick from, and they also have clothes for your legs, your feet, your head, and more, as well as accessories that you can put on your eyes
