Interview 5: Ashley

Hey, everybody. Welcome back. Uh, today is my phone call with Ashley. And, uh, sorry, let me say Ashaly, um, 'cause she loves it so much. Uh, this call's a little bit different, uh, because I did it with the call record setting on my iPhone, so it's a little bit, uh, different in audio quality, but I think it's still good. And we were also both working, [laughs] so you will hear some noises in the background. But here is my call with Ashley.

I don't know. I don't come from money either, so I don't know what that's like, but, um- Yeah, me, me neither.

Brandon· Host0:33

My grandparents- Yeah ... had money. I mean, just in like a more upscale neighborhood. They weren't rich by any means, but you know, they at least had- Yeah ... an in-ground pool and all that shit.

Ashley· Guest0:42

Now that- So- You're big time if you've got an in-ground pool.

Brandon· Host0:45

Oh, those bastards- Above ground- ... stole my pen ...

Ashley· Guest0:48

I don't know.

Brandon· Host0:48

[laughs] Yeah, we had an above ground for a while. [laughs] And then my parents, [laughs] they got tired of taking care of it, so we, they gave it to my aunt, so we used to have to go to her house- Yeah ... to go swimming and that. But then we were like, "Where are we going swimming? Grandma's? Yeah."

Yeah, like, uh, that's the thing, is my dad's brothers all had pools, and so in the summertime we'd always, or, or my mom's side too even, her sisters had pools, but we were the only ones that didn't, didn't have one.

Brandon· Host1:17

Yeah.

Ashley· Guest1:17

So, you know, if we wanted to cool off in the summertime, we just hooked up the sprinkler [laughs] and sprinted through the yard.

Brandon· Host1:23

[laughs] [laughs] Yeah. Yeah, I got lucky. So probably about for like three, four years we had a pool.
