[gentle music] The prison where Daniel Kinahan is being held has been described as Dubai's version of Alcatraz, with overcrowded cells, basic food, and where inmates have their heads shaved. So what do we know about Al Awir Central? Today, I'm joined by Maeve McTaggart, who tells me about the new residence of the cartel boss. You're listening to Crimeworld, a podcast from crimeworld.com. Of course, we know he's been arrested in Dubai, and he is now facing ex- extradition back to Ireland. Um, just before we come on, I was saying to you, I actually think this is the first time that he has been in prison.

I know he sort of was arrested here a number of times, and he might have done a couple of nights in cells, but he has not done any time in a prison. So this is an absolute baptism of fire and such a far cry from how he's been living because, of course, that has been a life of absolute luxury- Mm ... that none of us could even imagine. I haven't been to Dubai, but I have been to Spain, where I saw the kind of residences he was in. He had staff, swimming pools, you name it. Now, really beautiful. So tell us a little about his new digs.
