  1. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:00

This is Audible. [street chatter] This is meat. This is, uh, chicken of them. Everything is in a stew.

  2. Ed Jervis· Host0:10

    I mean, that sounds amazing.

  3. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:12

Fresh off the hot plate, huh?

  4. Eduardo0:14

    Cheers.

  5. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:14

    Cheers.

  6. Ed Jervis· Host0:15

Cheers. Cheers to you. [instrumental music plays] Whenever I talked with Grandad about falling ill in Mexico, he was always vaguely suspicious. I used to tease him. "Sure, Grandad," I'd say. "Late night taco, was it, from some street stall?" But he was always adamant something dodgy went on.

  7. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:35

Have I told you the last time I came to Mexico, which was 30 years ago, I got so ill.

  8. Ed Jervis· Host0:42

    Oh, dear.

  9. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:44

Exactly the same as your grandad. Same symptoms.

  10. Ed Jervis· Host0:47

We, we were also, uh [laughs]— Playing in a World Cup ... playing in a World Cup then.

  11. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:54

    [laughs] No.

  12. Ed Jervis· Host0:56

Was someone out to get you?

  13. Gabriel Gatehouse· Host0:57

[laughs] But I, I, I, I say this just to make the point that it's not unheard of for people to get ill in Mexico.

  14. Ed Jervis· Host1:06

I, I, I, no, I agree. And I think, like... I've gotta say, I absolutely love this place. A vast mural depicting colorful skulls over here. Over there, some kids playing football underneath a busy overpass. The sheer joyful chaos of it all, the street music, the street food.
