If a PS5 Pro is $900, What Does This Mean for PlayStation 6? - Beyond 940

4/1/20261 hr

Once again, Sony has raised the price of PlayStation hardware, with a PS5 base model selling for $150 more than its 2020 launch price. The PS5 Pro, which had a hefty pricetag to begin with, is now 899.99. Usually, at this point in a console’s life-cycle, hardware is at least half the price it was at launch, but the PS5 has increased by almost a third. So, what does this mean for PlayStation 6? It’s supposedly still a ways off, and really, we can’t argue with that, but it makes us wonder if these current gen prices will come down, or if they’re just paving the way for a $1000+ next-gen console. In other absurd financial news, Sony and Honda’s PlayStation-enabled Afeela electric car has been officially scrapped ahead of its planned release later this year, and Capcom publicly audits the Resident Evil 4 Merchant’s business dealings, which don’t really seem like they’re panning out. As spring rolls around and the weather gets nicer, it's a great time to rethink your wardrobe. Maybe you wanna try out some new looks or maybe you wanna thin out what's in your closet, focusing on having fewer but better articles of clothing. Well, look no further than Quince. The fabrics feel elevated, the fits are thoughtful, and the pricing actually makes sense. Quince makes high-quality everyday essentials using premium materials like 100% European linen and their insanely soft flow-knit active wear fabric. Their men's linen pants and shirts are lightweight, breathable, and comfortable, basically the perfect layer for spring. The pants strike the right balance between laid back and refined so you look put together without looking like you're trying too hard. And their flow-knit active wear? Moisture-wicking, anti-odor, and soft enough that you'll actually wanna wear it all day. The best part is their prices are 50% to 60% less than similar brands. How is that possible? Well, Quince works directly with ethical factories and cuts out the middleman so you're paying for quality, not brand markup. Everything is designed to last and make getting dressed easy. I got a nice cashmere sweater from Quince that didn't cost a fortune, and it goes with just about everything else I own. It's versatile enough to go with jeans and sneakers for ordinary outings, nice enough that I can wear it to fancy dinners with my beautiful wife, and comfortable enough that I can also just, like, wear it around the house when I wanna be cozy and stay inside. Quince has a great selection of shorts, whether you're looking for something to wear while working out, going out, hanging out, or something in between. The European linen drawstring beach shorts are high quality enough that you can dress them up to look presentable, but comfortable enough you can also just wear while loafing around the house when it's too hot to go do anything. Refresh your wardrobe with Quince. Go to quince.com/IGNBeyond for free shipping and 365-day returns. Now available in Canada, too. Go
