Lindsey Burrow’s husband Rob was her childhood sweetheart before he became an England rugby league star. After he got motor neurone disease she became his carer for the final years of his life.
Lindsey continued her work as a physiotherapist in the NHS, and looked after their three children, as Rob's condition deteriorated. She has now written a book, Take Care, chronicling her time caring for the husband she describes as "a hero".

You meet someone, go out together, have a kiss and some, and then that can be it. It, the biggest decision of your life made in moments and without you quite realizing it. And often driven, especially the younger you are, by how much you fancy them, how fit they are, what kissing them makes you feel. For me, anyway, this is quite an accurate description of the factors that helped me fall hard for my boyfriend at university when I was twenty and he twenty-one. And the fact that we couldn't stop talking to each other. Listener, I married him. Now forty-one, we're still very happily together with two hard won, delicious,
