Hello, it's Andrew. Heretics has become The Andrew Gold Show. The spirit of the podcast is the same, curious, honest conversations and deep dives into cultish ideologies and controversial topics, but I wanted the name and look to reflect where the show is going now, enhance the professional and mature look. You've helped me get to this stage. If you enjoy the show, please leave a five-star rating. It makes a huge difference. Thanks for listening, and please do share this podcast with a friend you think would enjoy it. There is a class of people in this country who decide what gets said on television and who gets a platform. Adam Brooks grew up above a pub on a council estate in Essex. His dad was murdered when he was 11. He now finds himself sharing a sofa with the very people who think he shouldn't be there. Today I'm going to take him through three chapters, including what the media class actually say to him when cameras aren't rolling. I want you to decide something. Why do people in the media really call Adam far-right?

  2. Adam Brooks· Guest1:01

A lot of these media guys, they don't see why they're sharing a sofa with me. I'm a publican, especially ones maybe, like, trained in journalism years ago, were on the box in the '90s. Why am I stuck on here with him? And then, I mean, I sit on a Wednesday night with... She called me basically akin to the Taliban.

  3. Andrew Gold· Host1:19

Do you think that's a class thing?

  4. Adam Brooks· Guest1:20

Maybe they think I'm a commoner, but what she doesn't know is that I lost my dad at 11. A crime gang came in, they killed him. It was doubtful.
