Elon is risk-seeking, so mission-driven that whether it's a 10th of a percent chance or a 1% chance that SpaceX was gonna succeed, he didn't care. He's like, "I'm just gonna do it." He's like, "This mission matters, and even if I fail, I will have been proud to contribute to the progress of this ecosystem towards this vision that is so important for humanity."
