How do dandelions work? [upbeat music] Hi, welcome to Curious Kids Everyday. I'm Josh. How are you doing today? It's so good to hear from you. Hey, have you ever seen a dandelion before? [upbeat music] Do you know what a dandelion is? Even if you don't know that word, I bet you have seen a dandelion before. I'm gonna describe it and you tell me if you've ever seen one of these. Well, dandelions start yellow. They, they kind of look like tiny sunflowers, but then they change into these white puffy plants, and you can pick them and then blow all the white parts off of it. [air whooshing] They float away into the air. Sometimes you can get all the white stuff off in one blow, but it usually takes a couple of tries. That's a dandelion. Have you ever wondered how those things work? I was thinking about this today because I got an email from a couple of curious kids named Eliana and Camille. They wondered, "Why do dandelions change from a yellow flower to white and fluffy?" That's a great question, Eliana and Camille. Let's find out today.
