How does a cucumber turn into a pickle? [upbeat music] Hi, welcome to Curious Kids Everyday. I'm Josh. How are you doing today? It's so good to hear from you. Hey, do you like to eat pickles? [upbeat music] I love pickles. In fact, I had one yesterday on a hamburger. It was so good. Have you ever seen those jars that pickles come in? They soak in a liquid, kind of a strange looking liquid, and when you open the jar for the first time, pop, it pops. Did you know that pickles are actually cucumbers? Yep, that's why they look so much alike, but they taste very different, don't they? [laughs] What does a cucumber taste like to you? [cucumber crunching] Doesn't have quite as much flavor as a pickle, does it? Still good, though. [cucumber crunching] Have you ever wondered why cucumbers and pickles taste so different? I was thinking about this today because I got a question from a kid in the Curious Kids Club named Aislyn. She wondered... What does it feel like to eat a pickle and a cucumber?
