[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to Shameless, the pop culture podcast for smart people who love dumb stuff. You're joined, as always, by Melbourne writers Michelle Andrews, that would be me, and Zara McDonald, that would be you.

  2. Zara McDonald· Host0:36

Hello, Michelle Andrews. Eilish Gilligan is on annual leave, so we are joined today by Annabelle Lee.

  3. Michelle Andrews· Host0:40

Hello. Happy Monday, you guys. We have a good little episode- Ooh ... planned for you today.

  4. Zara McDonald· Host0:47

    You may say so yourself.

  5. Michelle Andrews· Host0:48

  6. Zara McDonald· Host0:50

  8. Zara McDonald· Host1:02

  9. Michelle Andrews· Host1:12

    Mm.

  10. Zara McDonald· Host1:13

I find, by the way, everything stressful on TV, though. [laughs] That's not- nothing against Euphoria. But I- I felt very much like out of the loop with it, and what we wanted to do this week is we asked the listeners, "All right, we're gonna talk about Euphoria and the cultural impact 'cause it's so big and the celebrities around it are massive- Mm ... and the business around it is huge."

  11. Michelle Andrews· Host1:29

    And the controversy
