Hey, marketers. Here's something to note: seventy-five percent of listeners don't consider podcasters to be influencers, yet eighty-four percent say a podcaster has changed their mind about something they once believed. That's the paradox of podcast influence. It's built on credibility, not clout, trust, not trends. Acast's Podcast Pulse 2025 report reveals how podcast creators are redefining influence through resonance, multi-platform fandoms, and their ability to shape culture. Keir Starmer delivered one of his routine updates on the war in Iran in a press conference from Number Ten this morning. But this one was a little meatier than usual. He spoke about the UK's military and diplomatic efforts to open up the Strait of Hormuz, but he also gave his clearest signal yet that the UK is pivoting towards Europe and spoke about his wider vision for how we grow out of this crisis. Has Starmer found his vision? I'm Will Lloyd, and this is Daily Politics from the New Statesman. I'm joined remotely by our political editor, Alva Rey, to discuss all this. Hi, Alva.
