  10. Speaker 30:22

    Hello.

  11. Joe Devine· Host0:23

There he is. Now, what do we talk about on today's episode? Well, it was the end of an era across the Premier League this season. That's right. With Manchester City and Liverpool seeing prominent personnel leaving under tunnels of honor. That's right, we discuss tunnels of honor, what they mean, and could something be named after me? That's right, next I would like a public toilet to be named in my honor, even though I would never use it myself. That's disgusting. But because of anxiety, you understand, not snobbery, although I've made it sound like snobbery, haven't I? But you know what's interesting? Often snobbery, good mask for anxiety.

  12. Speaker 30:58

[laughs] [laughs] On the tunnels of honor, or guards of honor as they're actually called- Yes ... and then Bernardo Silva, one of the players that we spoke about.

  13. Joe Devine· Host1:04

    Mm-hmm.

  14. Speaker 31:04

It's just, uh, occurred to me, I was reading Ollie Kaye's interview with Bernardo Silva recently- Yes ... and th- they kind of structured it with a series of important photographs from his time there. And I think they had to give a guard of honor to Liverpool when they won the league during 19/20.

  15. Joe Devine· Host1:18

    Mm.

  16. Speaker 31:18

And Bernardo Silva had a coffee cup in one hand and a water bottle in the other hand to stop himself from clapping. [laughs] 'Cause he just really desperately didn't want to clap for them.

  17. Joe Devine· Host1:26

    Incredible.

  18. Speaker 31:27

    Yeah.

  19. Joe Devine· Host1:27

Well, there you go. That's a, a petty elite sports person right there.
