As much as soldiers and veterans including Victoria don't like to wear army clothes or army-looking clothes out in the world, Victoria says that she and a lot of veterans do wear their silkies because, one, they're really comfy, and two, they're subtle. Civilians might not even recognize them as military. Same goes for this thermal that Victoria was allowed to keep. It looks exactly like waffle tops she's seen at REI.
