[upbeat music] I'm Mel Stewart and this is a GMM Takeover, the SwimSwam podcast. Joining me today, Vern Gambetta, founder of Gain Swim, and Chris Webb, the director of Gain Swim. Gain is Gambetta Athletic Improvement Network, and Vern Gambetta is the founding father of functional sports training. For swimming, that means developing qualities like body control, mobility, coordination, posture, trunk stability, power, and movement efficiency. For most of us, this type of training was underdeveloped, and something happened during the pandemic. During this moment when everyone was out of the pool and dry land was all we had, we saw swimmers who got the correct functional training come back stronger and faster than ever. Today, we hope to gain some insight into why that happened. I hope you enjoy this conversation with Vern Gambetta and Chris. How you doing, guys?

  2. Chris Webb· Guest0:49
