First up, Dua Lipa married Callum Turner in a glorious three-day extravaganza in Palermo, Sicily. So why – like Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez before them – were the locals not altogether happy
While, deep in the Cotswolds, King Charles’ nephew Peter Phillips got married to Harriet Sperling in a tiny church, and some very notable family members didn't make the cut.

I think it's very interesting the way I've seen Dua and Callum's wedding reported compared to the way we saw the Bezos wedding reported. I feel like when the Bezos wedding, when we heard about it, the biggest story about that was how they're taking away from the residents and the culture- Mm ... and how they're making it all about them, and are, like, blocking roads, and are taking over places that people live in. And for Dua and Callum, it's very much, "Yay, we love seeing them married."

For me, I felt like Dua has a lot of general goodwill.

And so I think people were willing to give them a little bit more of the benefit of the doubt. But that said, when I read the stats about it, it did make me feel a little exhausted, because I do think weddings are in danger of becoming too much of a thing these days.

Just, like, spending too much money on them, inconveniencing people. The idea that rich people can kinda just buy a, a wonderful Italian historic town or- Mm ... square for the weekend for their party.

It was in New Orleans. I wasn't invited.
