Forza Horizon 6 Is Our Most Anticipated Xbox Game of 2026 (That’s Coming To PS5) - Beyond 931
1/28/20261 hr 3 min
Last week, Xbox held a Developer Direct showing off four-awesome looking games that are also coming to PlayStation: Forza Horizon 6, Fable, Kiln and Beast of Reincarnation. Considering Forza Horizon 5 was one of the best-selling PS5 games of 2025, it's safe to assume that we aren’t the only ones excited about the next open-world arcade racer, and we’re just as excited that this new cross-platform approach means we can talk about it on this show! In other news, Highguard’s weird reveal at The Game Awards and somehow even weirder launch have us reflecting on just how much the live-service game landscape has changed, and how games that launch to a mediocre or negative reception often turn themselves around, which makes them something of a moving target for criticism. Beyond, and hello, and welcome once again to IGN's weekly PlayStation show. I'm your host, Max Scoville, and coming up, [upbeat music] a couple major first-party Xbox games are also coming to PS5 this year, so I guess we should probably talk about those. And there's also the absolutely bizarre launch leading up to Highguard. Let's get into it. [upbeat music] I'm joined once again by my good pal, Brian Altano. Beyond, Brian, what's up?

Xbox games coming to PlayStation? Are you cr- I, I'm so glad I'm sitting down. This is nuts.
Max Scoville· Host0:35
Dude, it's weird.
Brian Altano· Host0:36
This is insane.

Uh, honestly, like, we... There was the whole sort of Xbox developer Direct last week, and- Mm-hmm ... all of those games are coming to PS5. So I don't know, we're at the a PlayStation show, but I guess we should talk about those, and- Yeah.

[chuckles] I mean, I think it's, it's, like, more newsworthy now when a Xbox game doesn't come into PS5, right? Like, if you look at the, the charts, their weird, long experiment o- o- of, you know, slowly shifting into a sort of, like, vintage Sega-era, third-party publisher that occasionally trickles out hardware, uh, is working really well for them. Like, they're putting games on PS5, and they're selling really well, so, you know, might as well keep that momentum going. I think it's... It is fascinating tuning into something called Xbox Direct and just seeing those PlayStation logos over and over again. It's something that my old ass will never truly get used to [chuckles] but, uh, it's, it's the time we're living in, so here we are.

Well, it seems almost like Microsoft would be in a weird place where, you know, if you, if you
