Now, foraging is something that really seems to be growing in popularity. We certainly discuss it a lot on BBC Radio Scotland's program, Out of Doors. But sometimes it can [laughs] feel hard to know where to start. Well, Janice Cline is an avid forager, a fermenter, and a gut health guru who runs a business called Nourished by Nature near Glasgow. She says you don't really have to go [laughs] very far to find a whole variety of wild plants, which she believes are the recipe for good health.

    Our bodies were designed, um, in a particular way to function. Our bodies are an absolute miracle, all the things that they can do, but we need to put in the right building blocks, and that is nature has everything that we need in order to be well. What's happened now is that our chronic disease is just going up and up and up, and it's just getting worse because people are not living in a way that our body was designed to. Way too much salt, way too much sugar, way too much saturated fat. Stress levels are high. People don't get outdoors anymore. We're not connected. We've lost our connection to nature and all the things that are real, all of the seasonal ways to live. A lot of people just eat the same thing all year round. Whereas if you go back
