Fatiha El-Ghorri: 'When you are confronted with your bias, you explore it'
7/6/20261 hr 1 min
In this episode, John is joined by comedian and writer Fatiha El-Ghorri.
Fatiha grew up in Hackney as one of 13 children, in a British-Moroccan Muslim family.
She reflects on how both her upbringing and comedy have become enduring sources of strength.
She also speaks about forging a career while often feeling she didn't fit other people's ideas of who she should be, the challenge of existing between cultures without a sense of belonging, and her recent cancer diagnosis, including the physical and emotional impact of an early menopause.
Tickets and details for Fatiha's tour Cockney Stacking Doll are available on her website.
There’ll be more from Fatiha on Thursday in our bonus episode, The Gratitude List, where she shares the five things she’s most grateful for right now.
