Europe’s Revolt, Iran’s Defiance, and America’s Broken Universities | Victor Davis Hanson

6/18/20261 hr 15 min

Europe is facing growing unrest as political leaders continue to dismiss public concerns over immigration, crime, and social cohesion. Victor Davis Hanson examines the backlash spreading across Britain and the continent, the dangers of tribal politics, and why many citizens are losing confidence in their governing elites. He also discusses Iran’s ongoing confrontation with the West, Hamas’ use of civilian institutions in Gaza, and the troubling state of higher education as universities struggle with declining academic standards, administrative bloat, and ideological conformity. From foreign policy to immigration to the future of Western institutions, Hanson argues that leadership failures are producing consequences that can no longer be ignored. 👉PEPPERDINE: Daily Signal listeners save 50–75% HTTPS://GO.PEPPERDINE.EDU/DAILYSIGNAL     👉 FINDING OUR WORDS: Words That Made America—the book for our 250TH & ALWAYS—is available now in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, Audible, and in Spanish translation HTTPS://WWW.MOUNTTITANOMEDIA.COM/  👉Claim your liberty offer of up to $5,000 in free metals with allegiance gold by going to HTTPS://WWW.PROTECTWITHVICTOR.COM  Learn more about your ad choices. We essentially won the Pacific War when Okinawa was declared secure in June of 1945. For 90 days, they had destroyed 85% of the Japanese economy, and they still held out. And then we dropped one, and they still held out. We dropped two, they still held out. When they finally landed on a Japanese airstrip, they were met with flowers after they surrendered because the people were beaten, but the regime wouldn't surrender. And that's kind of where we are in Iran.
