[footsteps] Hello. Sorry to bother you. Um, can I ask you a slightly odd question?

Tom Rosenthal· Host0:09
Um, I'm making a podcast, um, called Strangers on a Bench.
Tagore Chayne· Soundbite0:14
Okay. Oh.
Tom Rosenthal· Host0:14
Where essentially I talk to people I don't know on benches for- Okay ... 10, 15 minutes. Um, are you up for that? Do you wanna give it a go?
Speaker 3· Guest0:23
[upbeat music] [birds chirping] Yeah, I'm looking for a tree to paint.
Tom Rosenthal· Host0:47
What did you say? A tree to paint?
Speaker 3· Guest0:50
Yes.
Tom Rosenthal· Host0:51
Because you're a painter? You said- I'm re- I'm retired, and I found art.
Speaker 3· Guest0:56
And I- You found art ... and I'm not fantastic.
Tom Rosenthal· Host0:59
Maybe you are fantastic though. Who's to know?
Speaker 3· Guest1:02
Well, some are on the wall.
Tom Rosenthal· Host1:03
What's the nicest thing someone said about paintings of yours?
Speaker 3· Guest1:08
My daughter-in-law said they're very nice. The worrying thing is when I painted flowers- Yeah ... my wife has said that that's a, which is totally not the flower it was.
Tom Rosenthal· Host1:18
Oh, I see.
Speaker 3· Guest1:20
[laughs] And I'm a bit, uh, fluid, so it's not botanical.
Tom Rosenthal· Host1:25
Yeah. You just let it roll.
Speaker 3· Guest1:26
Because watercolor is quite hard.
