Episode 880 - Fried Rice ...
6/18/20261 hr 10 min
In this episode I'm joined by Lewis Ambrose to chat about the World Cup and some of the main stories from the last few days. We discuss Cape Verde earning a battling point against Spain, how France's attack sparked into second half action against Senegal, the impact of the big name players in this tournament so far, goals from distance, the Arsenal involvement – particularly for England – with some focus on Declan Rice and how the heavy schedule and minutes played this season could be catching up with him. What will that mean for Mikel Arteta's plans for the early part of next season, and influence some transfer market activity?
There's also a quick chat with Jacob from Poorly Drawn Arsenal about his upcoming book which you can win in a competition, and for more details on pre-ordering (and to find the answer to the competition question), go here: https://www.poorlydrawnarsenal.com/zine/

[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to a brand-new Arseblog Arsecast right here on arseblog.com. How are you? Hope you're well. Thank you very much indeed as always for being here. We are right s- well, we're not slap bang in the middle of a World Cup, but we're well and truly in the throes of a World Cup. At this point, I think every team has played a game. The 750 teams that are in this particular tournament, they've all played. There've been some big games, some big goals, some big scorelines, some surprising ones as well, and quite a bit of Arsenal interest along the way. So, that's gonna be the focus of this particular episode. A little bit later on, I'm gonna be talking to Jacob from Poorly Drawn Arsenal. He's got a book out which is commemorating our title win. You know the one, when Arsenal won the league in '25, '26. He's put together a, a lovely little book on that. So we're gonna talk about the book and give you a chance to win copies of the book. We'll also give you the winners of last week's competition, where we had copies of a fantastic photo zine from Lower Block to give away. So we'll give you the winners
