Episode 439: The calendar page has turned again, and the Miami Marlins are hoping their strong June form carries into July. The fighting fish dominated the month and put up the best month in franchise history. The guys react to their dominance and start asking whether the Marlins should be taken seriously as playoff contenders.
The benches cleared again at Fenway Park, with Willson Contreras once again finding himself in the middle of a heated moment. Cade Cavalli’s quotes after the fiery punch-out only inflamed the situation, and Dallas continues to advocate for his long-held belief that these guys should be allowed to duke it out hockey style.
Regression has finally caught up with Cam Schlittler—to the delight of Jared—and the Home Run Derby has found its first participant. The guys discuss whether the Derby is starting to go the way of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
