He also discusses writing with Genesis, working with Brian Eno, Lamont Dozier, and the Earth, Wind & Fire horns, and creating the Oscar-winning 'You'll Be in My Heart' for Disney's Tarzan.

It's Brian and Simon here, and joining us for episode 321 is a renowned English singer, drummer, and songwriter. His recorded output, both under his own name and as a member of Genesis, has inspired generations of musicians, and you could say it struck a chord with the listening public too, shifting in the region of 150 million records to date.

His list of collaborators includes the likes of Quincy Jones, Lamont Dozier, Robert Plant, John Martin, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Brian Eno, and David Crosby. He's an Ivor, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Oscar winner, and later this year will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. He was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010, the same year he received the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, of which he's also an inductee.
